【Macroscopic Features】 The herb is mostly shrunken and fragmented. Intact specimens have petioles; when flattened, the leaf blades are ovate or broadly ovate, 8-15 cm long and 7-13 cm wide. The apex gradually attenuates, while the base is truncate, rounded, or cordate. Margins are serrate or obtusely serrate, occasionally irregularly lobed. The upper surface is yellow-green or pale yellowish-brown, sometimes with small wart-like protrusions; the lower surface is slightly lighter in color, with prominent veins forming a reticulate network. Veins are sparsely hairy, and clustered hairs are present at their bases. Texture is brittle. Faint odor; bland and slightly bitter, astringent taste.
