【Macroscopic Features】 This product is in the shape of a long cone or a long cylinder, with the lower part tapering and some slightly curved, 6 to 30 cm long and 0.5 to 2 cm in diameter. The surface is light yellow to tan, rough, with longitudinal wrinkles, many transverse lenticel-like protrusions, and punctate fine root marks. There are ring patterns on the root head, and some brown hairy leaf bases remain on the ring patterns. The body is light, loose, easy to break, the cross-section is uneven, the bark is light yellow to brown with cracks, and the wood is yellow. It has a peculiar smell and slightly sweet taste.
